Different front brake to original-anyone recognise.
« on: April 13, 2020, 03:41:16 PM »
The attached photo shows the front brake system that came with my 400/4.
Looking for schematic of it-but it is not same as type in Haynes.
Can anyone suggest what Honda it is from?
Thanks Paul

Was it actually on the bike, or just in a box of bits? If fitted to the bike, what wheels were fitted? Looks like a Superdream or that next generation of Honda brake, CB400 Superdream, CB650, CB750F2, CB900F etc
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

+1  on superdream, Cb250/400n fork legs fit straight in the 400/4 yokes, a complete front end replacement with little bother, just the rear comstar to be positioned correctly and you are in tubeless tyre territory, along with front twin discs if using the 400n front end.
nice bike,nothing in the bank

I had a 400N front end on my 400four.   When it was stolen and recovered 2 years later, I recognised it straightaway,  despite the hammerite paint job and other nastiness.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?
