Up date Did the reseating excersise and just the odd drip every 5 minsfrom 2 and 3 but every now and then no 2 drops about a thimble full and then stops. Weird!!Blasted round float bowl 'o' rings get 5mm longer when they get petrol on them had to hang them in the sun for an hour to shrink back .4 of the bowl screws also needed tapping out to 5mm, thought I might get away with it yesterday but after a nights sleep thought I need to do it properly .Plan to have another go at 2 and 3 again tomorrow so hopefully nearly there.
you could have said that when you sent the screws How quick can you get them to me then?
I used to test mine by connecting a fuel source up to the fuel pipe and holding the float jet up into the seat with my finger, if fuel got past then I'd replace or repair the jet/seat. I'd then reinstall the float and hold it up with my finger and see if it leaked then. Checking them on a bench with fuel is far better then hoping they'll not leak on the bike, it's messy, it stinks but it works for me. I'd lift the float up until it just touched the sprung pin, if it stopped the fuel flow then I'd be confident it would do so when installed on the bike.
