Only the number will relate to a 1973 bike. No one would buy a new bike and chop it  ;)
The only part I can see that is from a CB500 Four 1973 is the rear hub   :o

Kickstart looks 500, not a 550 one as that hinged outwards as was huge in comparison.

Could be a 550 kick start off a early K but, it will work on a F engine  ;)

I would and indeed did albeit an accident damaged new bike 😁

Lots of them have via DS,DK,FREDDIE  and others.
OK  im odd but i quite like that except for the hardtail which my back and the arther couldnt live with.
