Grey primer
But as its candy its a silver base coat with the colour built up over

As a decorator I hate red,orange and yellows as they are highly translusant. If its a solid colour I would use a primmer in the same colour.
I have just done a bright orange bathroom for someone and it took 5 coats to look OK.

Complete change from the Audi Grey - Vauxhall Orange Rock - pleased with it and up for sale next week

I'm usually one for originality, but really like that Phil and much prefer orange (which lifts the bike) over the teutonic grey - not sure how to give a thumbs up on here?

PS - how did you manage to shape the tank trim, hot water?

Thanks Andrew - the tank trim was something I had left over from a seat I did several years ago and just pressed on reasonably easy without heat - just runa philips screw driver ahead of the trim entry point
