CB750K6 crankcase and cylinder head breathers
« on: July 11, 2020, 07:21:31 AM »
I'm having trouble working out where the crankcase and cylinder head breathers route on my CB750K6. The parts list has a breather on the crankcase (12mm dia x 185 long) with spring clips on both ends - but not obvious where the other end pushes on to (the K6 oil tank doesn't have the pipe on the oil tank the earlier models had). Similarly I'm not sure where the cylinder head breather should route (and not sure how long that pipe should be). Any help much appreciated. Phil

On the K6, the crank case is not a breather, it is a oil feed from the bottom of the tank to the rear of the crank case to oil the output shaft.
The top engine breather comes off the breather cover, over the top of the carbs, tucks down and runs along the right side of the swinging arm and is routed through a bracket that is mounted on the rear foot peg. The bracket is a very hard to find part and only took me 4 years to find one.

That's so helpful. Many thanks. Anyone have one of those brackets they would like to sell me :-) ?

Cheers.  Phil

There is only one bracket P/N 55109341900 and a pipe clip that is on the back of the engine P/N 15765341000  ;)

Here is a link to a picture of the bracket >>> https://www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=246_251_142_88&products_id=3728

That's really helpful thanks. Looks like it will be relatively easy to make something that will do the job while I look for the real part.
