I have a set of four new replica carb to air box clips for my Z1A which are either painted or stoved gloss black. Genuine new ones are unobtainable, as far as I know, and are plated with olive drab zinc. As well as being a very effective anti corrosion finish, to me it makes a big visual difference- yes I should get a life, but it’s something I notice straight away.I have been in touch with a platers in Nottingham who offer this finish but have a minimum order of £40 plus vat, a bit steep for four clips, does anyone know any better options?
On original looking Zeds I’ve seen it’s quite dark but with a definite green tinge. I’ll see if I can find a good photo on the interweb.I’ll send Allenchrome an email, Ash, do they have a minimum job charge do you know?

Have heard good reports of John Street Platers in Sheffield but not tried them out myself yet.
