Logically, there's only one way to go on this me thinks!
Another question as a result of just stripping forks. My forks have the rod down the middle that screws into the fork cap - which after scanning CMSL schematics, appears to be pre K2 (mine is US import K2) - does this mean its got upto K1 forks fitted or was there a cross over to K2 where earlier forks fitted? (fork ears, etc are K2).

A rod screw into the fork cap? I’ve looked a lot at forks for the K2 and earlier when rebuilding my own; I didn’t  see/hear of anything like this. Can you post a few pics?
CB750 K2 - Ridden from Belfast(SA)-2-Belfast(NI)!
CB750 K1 - The less, said the better!
CB450 K1 - A work in progress.
CB400F Supersport - Rusty - not any more!

I am not understanding this as the K2 had the same forks as a K1 https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb500k2-four-1973-usa_model461/partslist/F++08.html#.X4Rd44uSmpg

In the UK and most of europe the CB500K1 was still being sold til 1975 and had the same forks  ;)

I've been looking at 'general Export' schematics Graham (as I will be getting some non American parts - like handlebars, etc)

Fork tubes are off to Philpotts tomorrow - fork tops and rear spindle chome end done in £195 collect/delivered price - thanks for tip from Julie!

Are you aware that you can't get the handle bars anymore. All the ones listed at the right height do not have the cable holes  ;)
