Frame and engine numbers UK
« on: December 09, 2020, 10:23:29 AM »
Hi all, new here.

I have 2 CB750 F's, both UK registered in 1976, both picked up randomly from completely different locations in the UK.

I have seen the frame and engine tables for original manufacture dates of the F0 and F1:

Model Name               Frame Number                Engine Number

CB750F (1975)           CB750F-1000002                  CB750E-2500004

CB750 F’76                  CB750F-2000003                 CB750E-2515094

Both of my bikes seem to have the F0 frame and F1 engine, Numbers as follows:

CB750F 1025068
CB750E 2547166

CB750F 1023143
CB750E 2545159

The difference between the engine number and frame number for each bike is just over 2000, this is too much of a coincidence for them not to be original frame and engine from factory in my eyes.

Does anyone have any further info on why the UK bikes might have been assembled like this?

If they are both UK units then, stop looking at USA table numbers. USA table is only for bikes sold by HONDA America  ;)

Ah would maybe help then, trawled for quite a while the other day and all of them seemed to be the same.

Could you point me in the direction of the UK info on frame and engine no.s ?

Edit: Found them, thanks a lot.
