im sure I've seen Elen and you a couple of times near St Catherine's Dock, but that was pre-lockdown in early 2020...and I wasn't near enough to chat before the red 400 rode off.
Yes! I use it quite a lot for mechanically assisted exercise, the other women in my life also lives on the St. Katherine's Dock proper. Next time you see me just flag me down!

Damn and bother,

Was heading for Stow on the Wold,

16 miles from home, the pull throttle cable broke,

Riding home through rush hour traffic is no fun with a 4k tickover and max speed about 35,

Anyone reccomend a new cable supplier?

Not a nice experience, in the olden days I remember riding my 750 home with a screwdriver under the right hand carb top levering the throttles open, fun days.

Cheers

A friend of mine tied a broken throttle cable to the rear brake lever (having disconnected the brake) and used that as a foot throttle..

Wednesday evening I went to the local Scottish Classic Motorcycle Club meeting in Coupar Angus. Not a bad turnout of classic and modern bikes. There was a well worn and modified 400 Four looking in need of a good renovation. 🙁
The Commando had the obligatory piece missing in action. 😁

Lovely collection of triples.

But what did the trophy 650 sound like?

Anybody want to have a guess at what this is? I do know, but I've never seen one anywhere else

They used to have a small factory at Crickhowell, just outside Abergavenny in the early 80's.

Powered by the alloy 850 Reliant motors.

Also Known as Phasar, I seem to remember.

Forerunner of Burgmann scooter with hub centre steering.

I remember the Quasar and one called the Voyager. This one is badged as a Sunbeam, but the owner left before I had chance to talk to him.
