I think I'll be twiddling my thumbs too today.

We're forecast to reach 39C today and I'm not pushing a lawnmower round in that.

It's 6am in dark and frozen Wokingham. -6 degrees outside.
I'm going to Warwick today for a meeting. 210 miles round trip.

I go every month and have always gone on my bike as negotiating the morning rush on the M40 is far easier.

Today I'll defrost the car I think and leave half an hour earlier.

There's the first test vs South Africa on the radio from 0830 so motorway traffic doesn't faze me (!)

Got fed up with the grim weather yesterday (Tues) so had a day out to Liverpool, it was a blast from the past. Parked up at Hooton and got the train to Liverpool Central, I can remember doing the train journey with my mum when I was little (pre school) although I can't remember anything but the train jourmey.
Had a great day wandering around, went on the big wheel at Liverpool 1 (60m), that was great if a little chilly !
On the way back I popped into the leather shop at Liverpool central and bought a pair of leather biking trousers, fit great and only cost

Well it's just started to sleet lightly where I am in Bexleyheath, and it's too darn cold to go out to the shed on a day like today. Besides which I have a pile of Xmas cards to finish writing as well as a  load of photos that still need scanning into the external hard drive. At the moment they're sitting in piles on the table and my missus is getting fed up with seeing them not moving. So a nice hot cuppa tea, a rich tea biscuit or two and i'll get stuck in.

PS. to all...stories of it being too hot to cut the grass down under in Oz does nothing to brighten up my day...it just makes me wish I was sharing your summer with you. Still, the 21st December is the shortest day, so it can only be good from here on upwards.

Nice weather Dave, some of that would be good next summer over here.  ;)
