CB550F2 Mirror mounts
« on: May 21, 2021, 02:42:09 PM »
Hi guys, my memory isn't good enough to remember back to '76 when I had my first 550 F, I can't remember how the std, mirrors were fastened on. I seem to recall the left (or both) was a left hand thread.
My current 550F2 has a clamp around the handlebar with the mirror attached !! It doesn't look OEM.

Could you post up pictures of both sides where mirrors attach please.

Also the right hand switchgear, I think should only show lights ON/OFF and not HIGH/LOW.
Pictures speak a thousand words.

Cheers.

All my 500/550s including an F1 have normal right hand thread for both mirrors. Annoying when the left one comes loose.

Thanks,
Looked on CMS, seems like the left-hand switch is unavailable!!!
Anyone got one or know someone who might have one.

TIA

What's wrong with it?

I have some spares for the switch and unless the metal is broken it may be possible to repair it.

I'll check tomorrow and take a pic. Ta.

Oh BTW, the clutch cable adjuster is the wrong one as is the clutch lever pivot bolt. Might have those lying around.

PM sent.
