Keihin Carburetor parts

1976 550 f1 supersport
Hi I've been having problems with a sticking slide so I am rebuilding the carbs and when I have removed the  linkages one of the little trumpets that sit inside the spring and drops into the connecting arm is missing , it's above the spring in the picture.
Please can anyone tell me where I can source this part or has anyone got one that I can buy.
The rebuild kit mixture screw is different to the original as it has a solid shaft, whereas the original is drilled up the center and has a hole in the shift, should I refit the original.?

I bought a cheap rebuild kit and before fitting, mic'ed the parts up and they were way out compared to the originals. General advice from members is to re-use original jets and fit upgraded o' rings/seals from Julie.
I have had success with 'Keyster' aftermarkets kits on past builds though - its the non branded kits that are rubbish I think. I think 'Tourmax' have good feedback too?

Oldtuggle, how is your German? I can give you links to videos where a German bro reassembles his carbs similar to yours. The part on doing the basic setting is very instructive

Hi
Thanks for the suggestion, I have found a set of videos on YouTube from a guy in Texas.
He works with these old Hondas and the business name is Classic Octane.
He has a full strip and rebuild film and a balancing film, can't recommend these enough for anyone starting out working on these bikes

I know his vids. The guy is not very accurate. For example: he shows how to set the ign. timing, but does not tell, one has to check/(re)adjust the contactbreakers gap first. The German is very precise. Let me know when you are about to reassemble the parts you've shown in the first pic and start wondering at how many turns those little bolts have to be. It is important to arrive at a good basic setting later on.

On the topic of Classic Octane, I notice he bench syncs his carbs with an 1/8th” drill bit from the choke side (eg slide cut out side) rather than engine side. Is that correct?

Either side is fine but it's a lot easier going in from the non choke flap side. I've never understood why anyone would even consider going in from the choke side 🤔🤔🤔🤔

+1 I always did it from the engine side and used a small allen key. If you are concentrated and take your time, it's possible get a sync thus close, you won't need a further dynamic vacuum adjust.

1/8 is bigger than i like to use, i have some 1mm about, unused so no marks from burs on the shank. I also did a right up on bench sync, should be in tips and tricks
