No, they are just cheap stainless bolts readily available on eBay. At least go to Middletons website and buy some polished ones.

We have bought quite a few bits direct from Tina. Not SS ones but she can supply some real odd ball lengths cut to our requirements.
LINK TO MY EBAY PAGE. As many of you know already, I give 10% discount and do post at cost to forum members if you PM me direct.

My crancase set from them were polished. Then again I guess there is polished and dazling !

It appears the bolts are also not fully threaded hopefully  the right length for the job.

Using the correct terminology, a bolt has an unthreaded portion, if it is threaded it's full length it is a setscrew

If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

I live and learn thanks for the correct terminology oh hairy one that's the opposite to what I thought somehow.
In my head setscrew sounds more precise so ought to have a shoulder or unthreaded section.

Sadly I'm still firmly in the Farhenheit zone even though I used SI units at Uni - I still can't get used to Centigrade for the weather either.
I am clearly either a Ludite or mentally resistant to change there is no hope for me I'm a lost cause. lol

I bought a piece of 3/4 ply yesterday and had it cut to 24' * 608mm. No hope for me either, the woodshed guy just rolled his eyes.

They don't look close enough to me on a 400 but you are vastly more experienced so I will check before I decide to order a set.

Also can't remember if the original bolts have washers or the washer is built into the bolt - no idea what the right term is for that either. Found it on the inernet - its a flange bolt methinks!

Clearly I need to do some reading up on engineering terms.

Ted, the original fasteners are flanged hexagon head. That means they have a smaller hexagon size and the flange means no washer required.

Clearly I need to do some reading up on engineering terms.
