Hello from me!
« on: August 20, 2021, 12:47:35 PM »
Although I have owned my '71 CB750K1 for 7 years this is the first time I have been on the forum. I'll be looking for help and advice to keep my lovely bike on the road.
Just after I bought the bike John Wyeth of Rising Sun Restorations, near York did an initial overhaul. He was brilliant. Although I am based in Bristol, I was thinking of taking it to him for another refurb, but his telephone number seems to be no longer working. Is he still around?
Current bikes:
CB750K1, 1971
1956 BSA DBD34 Gold Star
1997 Ducati 916
KTM Duke 125
BMW R1250RS

Sadly John Wyatt passed away last month (heart attack). There’s loads of support on this forum and I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to tackle the majority of tasks with a bit of support from here. Welcome.

Welcome to the sohc community - do not be afraid to tackle a lot of the work yourself it's very theraputic if you have time on your hands - you are never too old to learn new skills.

Very sad to hear that John Wyeth is no longer with us.
A real character.
And I have his excellent book on the CB750 Restoration by my bedside.
