Filters filters filters
« on: August 29, 2021, 11:33:58 AM »
Hi all
I am slowly getting all the correct parts for my 550 air filter I have a few questions hopefully someone can help
On the air filter case the pipe on the side I believe is from the engine breather the one on the bottom is a drain
Looks like there should be a hose from the airbox where does this go ?
Inside the bottom of the air filter case should be a oil separator thingy I have one on it’s way but what go’s on top of that
And lastly any advise on inline fuel filters

Thanks
Rich

Inlet carb Manifold to atmosphere. This has an  integral foam filter.
Base of filter box to breather outlet on cam cover. The large dia tube.
Base of filter box to atmosphere….plugged.

CMNSL website for details as one of those tubes is not available.

There is a foam filter in the bottom on top of that a steel  base wirh a vertical tube that goes up into the middle of the paper filter so the paper dont get oil saturated

This is for F1,F2s
K3s were the same except for some reason the pipe up the centre of the air filter was shortened for the pd carbs. Or maybe an attempt to lessen the contamination of the filter from the recirc.
