Long Term CB400F Owner
« on: September 05, 2021, 12:37:54 PM »
Hi,

I still have my red 400/4 that I bought new in 1975 for £699.

It is still running and has only done 24,000 miles. It's pretty original except for replica exhaust pipes and genuine new front mudguard. It's got a Mead Speed alloy tank and ace bars.

I don't ride it much nowadays but when I do I'm transported back to my youth.

That's a long time to keep one vehicle I'm impressed - my record is way short of that it's 12 years for a F plated Cooper  1275 S I sold it then bought it back about 4 years later & ran it for another couple of years - wish I had it now it's value has rocketed in the last few years.

I once owned a Ducati 900 SS. The reality is that keeping and running it for 40years would have cost more than it’s worth now ;). And it would be worth a lot.

Is that an Alloy tank or is it painted silver - it's a bit Cafe Style - long range?
