Plug Spanner
« on: September 17, 2021, 06:33:06 PM »
I am in the process of restoring a 1979/18 UK spec CB650z, but trying to remove the number 2 cyl spark plug has me stummped (for now) its a really tight angle and my normal 1/2" drive plug spanner is too big.
Im looking for a box spanner type but unsure if even they would work.
Can anyone recomend a spark plug socket / box spanner that will work on cyl number 2.

on my 550 i had to grind a 3/8 drive socket down on the outside to clear on number 3 cyl, the genuine honda spanner works as long as the plug is not too tight.
Love the 500 and 550 have a 500 called Lazarus under restoration

my socket spanner has 'Melvin ps29 10mm/12mm' - on it. I think th at s the one I used for the CB650, but I'm sure I also used a spanner or socket on the wrong end to give extra reach.
