Try buying genuine ones, i think they are £25 EACH. The conmplete points plate is still available fo about £100 which is less than buying points and condensers.
Carfull with aftermarket there have been a lotof reports on the US forum of Daichi ones only lasting 2 weeks

What symptoms do you have? Connectors fit correctly? No shorting by the connectors to ground?

Classic symptoms, they are throwing yellow sparks out like a welders torch and not a low key blue.

Check the surfaces of the points. Are they severely pitted? I ask this, because the symptons you describe, can also be caused by breakerpoints connectors not correctly mounted (intermittent contacting the plate) and even by breakerpoints parts that have been loosened too far apart, possibly resulting in a misaligned center isolator. Once happened to me. Below a pic that shows the order of the parts. The tiny isolator ring in the middle could be misaligned. My TEC breakerpoints have two of them, but I cannot claim all breakerpoints have two.

Actually you can make ones yourself by using parts from an electronic parts shop, better and a lot cheaper, that is: if you don't care much about original looks of what is hidden anyway.

Yes, this can play a role. Should have specified that those condensers from electronic parts shops, can be used up at the coils, provided they are aftermarket, like Dyna's which have screw connections - to make them generic - instead of the excellent shielded connectors the OEM TECs have.

This is what was inside the points cover of my USA 03/71 CB500K0. The points are off a G.M. car I think and the back plate is aftermarket to suit those points. I replaced everything  with proper Honda parts !

Sure looks impressive.  :D
Are those Maxi-Dwell breakerpoints? Haven't figured out what difference they could make. For our bikes, I mean.

Yep, it's them. I know little about the product though. American 8 cylinders back then were quite short-winded as far as dwell ofcourse. But I have not studied the product.

They (points) came already fitted to the bike some I assumed they were standard points.
