Actually it would appear you are correct, it is called Shiny Orange or maybe Shiney Orange, evidently Dupli Colour did a paint very close to it, DE1607. No idea why they'd called it Shiny, everyone I saw was a kind of dull flat Orange. I'm not sure Honda don't do this deliberately, they do a bland first model than a revamped follow up with metallic paint which always sell more, they did exactly the same with the CX500.

The worst paint name Honda used  IMHO  was 'Rat Grey' used on the 1960's  C90

Was that one (perhaps the only) bike that had a brown seat too ?   

Or was that paired with orange tank to avoid a double brown colour scheme.

No Steve that was the official colour, Volvo used it as well
