This goes with the tool tray Ben .. so may be also worth considering printing.  :)

Hi everyone,

I had some time tonight and I have drawn up the tool tray, still some small details to add but the tricky bits are done.

I will print off some 1:1 scale drawings to check the angles match and the shape is correct, hard to get exact measurements with thin moulded parts as they distort slightly.

If anyone is seriously interested in one of these 3D printed can you let me know, I won't spend to much more time on it if not. I'll need to add the finished file into the 3D print software to find out material usage and time to print etc.

Some images of the CAD model so far

Don't know if you have interest in copying it in detail, but know that 83501-323-020 originally had a small 'enclave' to accomodate spare fuses.

Is that for your F model ...I don't think the F's had that part.

It didn't Ash as the funnel for the air filter box got in the way so they removed it. Run it without the funnel though and the tray should fit ok, it's certainly better there than where they fitted the tools after though. Never saw the need for the funnel myself, possibly something to do with reducing induction roar.

And of course the separate bit that holds the mesh over the oval cutout will also add to the work. 83502-323-000
The tray looks awkward to print as there are bits above and below the tray. Presume it will need support pieces. Took a look at it here and decided against it.

It will be a bit tricky without a doubt and certainly will need some support material, having said that I’ve done some awkward stuff for work so I’m willing to have a go at it. I have the separate part which holds the mesh on but will finalise it once I’ve got a tray printed, so I can make sure it is a good fit.
