Fuel Hose Retainer
« on: January 01, 2022, 11:08:57 AM »
I've just received a new fuel hose from David Silvers. OD is 10mm (ID 5.5mm). Problem is, it won't pass through the retaining clip mounted on the carb, shown here:

I tried using a small section of hose to test and it is so tight it severely constricts the ID of the hose. It seems to me the clip would be happier with something smaller (8-9mm OD maybe?)

Anyway - can someone provide a link for a suitable fuel line that will happily work with the 400F.

You could open up the clip just enough to hold the fuel hose. 🙂

The clip loops completely around the hose. In short, no - that won't work...

Think he meant using  a drill to open it up?

OK, I see what you mean.

However, I would rather just get a hose that fits, if at all possible.

Er, no. 😂 I thought it was one of the open ended clips that can be bent to size.
