Ht leads

I am rebuilding my Phill Read Race Replica. I took the leads off the plugs some time ago. I am now not sure which order do the leads go? I traced the leads back to the two coils and I couldnt find numbers on them - am I having a blond moment here ?? surely the leads go to certain cylinders? Haynes manual is no use !!

One coil feeds to cylinders #1 & #4, the other coil feeds to cylinders #2 & to #3. It may well be that one pair of coils has a blue colour wire (from the points) as well as the black/white wire & the other coil has a yellow wire (from the points) & the black/white wire. The coils for #2 & 3 may well have the shorter leads to the plug caps & the coil with the longer leads are for #1 & 4.
