Frame restoration
« on: April 21, 2010, 02:03:07 PM »
Hi, I am in the Portsmouth area and am trying to find anyone who will re stove enamel my frame. I would prefer this to powder coating it. Any suggestions?
Jon.

look in classic motorcycle mechanics? I can have a sprot thru whe I pick up my next issue if you want. Personally I just use blackfriar white spirit based paint but I'm not fussed if the finish is flawed and don't take much trouble over it
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Try these guys, I know they're off your beaten track but I used them 2 years ago and wouls reccomend them

J.R. Finishright
Mulberry Trading Estate, Foundry Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 5PX

Check them out in the yellow pages; they have their own web-site too. I took mine to their shop near Pease Pottage (off the M23 at the Crawley Junction)
Was well satisfied. They stripped the old stuff from my battered frame and stuff and re-powdered it nicely.

Hope this helps
