Confused a bit about that Ash, says £350 at the top of page but probably price at the bottom of ad more realistic.
Either way for one exhaust! 😡

£350!!! Ouch.
I have just had to buy a new lower dash mount for the Viffer. It has the moulded printed circuit attached for the LCD, rev counter, Speedo and idiot lights. The original had started to corrode internally knocking out the LCD. That was £350 new, Honda spares are not cheap for any bike of any age:(

Makes the cost of a replacement battery for a Hybrid Merc look cheap at £15k when they fail the car is effectively scrap if out of warranty.

Steam Packet caused the bike and a few others to crash over on the ferry so they paid for it. I could have had it repaired but why should I.

£350!!! Ouch.

I sold about 5 of those sloper exhausts about 2 years ago for £325 individually and £700 for a pair .. they were all gone within hours of listing.  People were then messaging me to say they had missed out and if I could get any more, they would be prepared to give me more money for them. CB250/350K exhausts genuine NOS now sell for upwards of £400 / side ... a few years back they would have been £100. NOS CB92 Benly silencers go for £1k plus for a pair and likewise CB72/77 ones.

I did alright on the DS stand at Stafford in October though. I tried haggling with DS's mate on his bargain basement area for a few low value items but the guy was adamant 'David says the price on the label is what everything on here needs to go for .. absolutely no offers'. So I paid the full price but then I found an absolutely rare SS125A exhaust, which turned out to be NOS with a tatty old £5 label on it and argued back that the ticket price must be the correct price. The guy questioned it and went off to ask DS but he was busy kerchinging his till, so the guy  asked one of the other sales guys who amazingly agreed to my £5 offer. So a £300 + NOS exhaust for a fiver ... result in my book.

When you think about it a few members here agree that a £2k for a NOS set of CB500/ pipes is realistic ....so £350 x 4 = £1,400 for the same number of sloper exhausts sounds reasonably good value indeed  in that context. A lot of chromers (e.g. Agbrigg) charge £350 to rechrome a single silencer.

Well the bike is back on its wheels and progressing ;D
I did purchase the exhaust thanks Ash.
These things are like hens teeth, he does have a pair of NOS new ones but can't make his mind up if he wants to sell them as he does have a sloper as well.
He has promised to let me have the first option on them if he does sell them.
Not done much as both me and the wife have had this dreaded bug that is going around (didn't even have a Christmas lunch (the wife says it's worse than covid  :o she is still off, I'm back at work.
Happy new year everyone.

It's looking good Paul can't wait to see what colour the tank & side panels will be I'm guessing Grey/Silver but secretly wishing for something more bling. ;) ;) ;)

In all seriousness I like the original tank colours do the side panels need some contrast perhaps - no Ted they do not?

Nice one ..hoped you would Paul  ;). Honda NOS exhaust are better than money in the bank. Quite a few of my old Hondas I bought the exhausts NOS before actually buying the bike they fit.

The colour is 'Black Metallic' code XE, the same as my JDM CB250 'Dream'. It's actually more like a gunmetal grey. RS Bikepaints didn't have that paint so I 'loaned' them a NOS fork ear to match it too, which they lost  >:(  their colour designation for it is 'Honda Lava Grey' (not to be confused with Audi Lava Grey).  My original sloper back in 1972 was that colour but my sloper now I did in Neptune Blue Metallic only because it was a Honda UK  press bike and it was that blue originally.

This is the Dream 250 in Hondas Museum. Colour looks a bit dark but it's deffo XE code. XE parts I have owned NOS were all different shades !
