Hmmmmm...now there's a good question. Some say EBC pads, others say Vesrah. But I used nothing but Ferodo on my bikes, with good results always.

As for the tyres, I always liked to use a triangular front like a Dunlop Red Arrow 4.10x19 with an Avon Roadrunner 4.25/85x18 on the rear as it had an oval section with a good contact patch for good traction in the wet or the dry. But i'm not sure what is available as a comparison nowadays. UK Pete put some good looking tyres on his 750F2 rebuild. I'm sure that there are some good photos on his rebuild thread.
Bikes...they're in the blood.

You want original style or performance?

I'm more concerned about grip levels than originality, but I'm not a really sporty rider.
It's currently got new looking unknown brand tyres fitted by the previous owner. The rear seems alright but I don't have much faith in the front, the bike also tries to follow any join or paint lines.

Whatever pads are fitted aren't great, or maybe I'm expecting too much from the brakes - they require a fair bit of pressure on the leaver and fade quite easily, also squeal when hot.

Cheers

Tyres for handling Dunlop TT100 4.25/85 x 18 rear 4.10 x 19 front

Tyres with reasonable grip continental or better metxeler in 4.00 x 18 rear and 3.5 x 19 front.

Disc pads sound like they are contaminated to me as fade is not normaly a problem, we always used Vesrah way back when and no complaints i can remember

Thanks guys, I'll see which of those tyres I can find locally. It's good to know that brake fade isn't common as it isn't a pleasent sensation.
