Sold my 750/4 K2 UK model.
« on: October 30, 2022, 11:01:45 AM »
Although I had no intentions of advertising my 750/4 until next spring, today it has gone to a new home in Norfolk. A very nice chap call Tony bought it to add to his collection of bikes. He had heard via the grapevine that I had one and he contacted me and asked if he could buy it.
He has all his bikes professionally maintained, so I know she is in good hands. But I will miss her.
Last photos of her before she left this morning.

Yes Ken, planning my future biking 😁😁😁 I am now personally left with the 3 bikes I want for riding into the future, Millie the 550 Mongrel, Kitty, the 500K1 and the CD250u.
Although I can still ride the 750's with no problem at all, I'm not safe now moving them in and out of the garage or pushing them around on the spot. I haven't got the arm or body strength anymore to stop them falling if they topple. If I really get the urge for a blast on a 750, I can use Graham's K6. So basically, age has caught up with me at last 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes Johnny, sad in some ways as she is a cracker of a bike. But, I consider myself very fortunate that I still have other great bikes to ride, ones that I can still get out of the garage and move around without asking for help.

Yes Phil, Candy Ruby Red. It was in the workshop under all the lights so the colour looks lighter than in real life.

Very nice looking bike - your reasoning for selling it are pretty much identical to mine when I parted with my XJ900 1995-2009.

It was no racer but had enough grunt for me - she never broke down only daft cost was having to replace the petrol tank when the pinpricks appeared an eye watering £434.74 in 2000 fully painted from Yamaha dealer in Ilkeston.

Photo taken on day of delivery to a local buyer.

My favorite colour. Still considering changing my standard Planet Blue paint set for my spare Candy Ruby Red paint set - although tank is the later opposite side tap type, which is stopping me (and changing the log book).

My backside is hurting from where I keep kicking it Julie. If only 😐.
Good to hear it has gone to someone who will look after it though. When you put so much time, effort and money into a restoration you really hope it will go to a good home. Congratulations on the sale👍
