Could you buy the pedal & spring to later sell the pedal on Ted ?

Pedal is likely to get more valuable as we travel in time  :) to maybe allow you a complete return on purchase price.

The chrome on the pedal does not look great, with the cost of re-chroming I'll keep looking.

At the moment I'm minded to modiry my old 400 spring to fit for now!

They're not hard to make if you fancy a go at it.

Using "piano" wire of the same guage, you can bend it round a suitable form by heating it with blow torch to red colour and using pliers. Form the ends likewise, heat all red and quench in  water. Then clean it so you can judge colour and heat it to straw/light brown (just below nut brown  ;D) and leave to cool. Make a couple, one to use temporarily and one to send for chrome and you're done.

They are much easier to do than to describe Ted.

Huge sense of satisfaction, sit down for a nice cuppa and biscuit of choice  ;D
