Seat length

Hi All , could someone please measure their seat length from a 500/550 71 -76 model also anyone know if the hinges line up on a F  model. Cheers Dave

All the hinges are the same and the positioning of the brackets on 500 and 550F looks the same, But 550k and 550F seats are shorter at front to match the longer tank. Also K and F seats are different at the rear in between different rear grab bar.

Thanks , as long as a K seat is longer at the front than an F by about 2 inches that's what I want as long as the hinge and lock line up .

There was only ever the two basic tank forms.
1. All 500s and early 550s (K0, K1,K2 that were not directly sold in UK). Shorter tank.
2. Then 550Fs and 550K3. Longer tank.

You say K seat but you must define which K
So all 550F and 550K3 seats will not meet the earlier tank and there will be a gap.

Think lock will line up whatever.

Not a K3 tank , the F seat is roughly 26 inches I just need to know the length of a K 0, 1 or 2 seat please

Hey Dave, i can get you the dimensions of the seat, but can confirm if used with the earlier tank they do fit the 550f frame perfectly with no mods, somewhere i have a picture of my f2 (now yours!) with them fitted, i will try to find it and post it,
