« on: December 31, 2022, 03:40:48 PM »
The below link was sent to me by a member who wishes to remain anonymous. ;D ;D ;D  Dont tell them Tim it was Pike.

In it Ken might get an insight into Henry's presenting style & why he does it.

Best watched on U-Tube App on your TV.

Happy New Year to all sohc members. (That reads as bit of an inuendo none intended)

I am not the Tim Ted refers to forwarding this link and only started watching it to probably dismiss it as more of his bol--x. However very interesting and he was tolerable in this context. I think he just tried too hard in front of camera on his shows (being generous) He does say at the beginning is is just the twat in front of the camera drinking tea or something. Correct at that but this interview showed a different side.
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Just reading Henry Cole’s book, A Bikers Life.
Well worth a read, talks openly about his drug addiction and getting clean, very good book.

Spot on Steve ... worth listening to the audio book version too. Please give it a whirl by watching the YouTube link first Ken :)

He doesn't mention his mate Pete the Restorer  from the earlier Motorcycle Shows (CB550K etc). who, sadly,  is also in prison.

It's a pity they didn't lock him up as well  :) :) The restoration of the 550K3 was criminal.

I finally got round to watching the interview.  I'm afraid that it confirms to me that Henry is just a privileged prick.
He gets bikes on TV, which is great, but no reason for the dicking about and inane grins. I find him really annoying.

There is one thing about the show that always makes me wonder. And that's how the hell do they do the shots of him on the bikes, the panorama shots, if it's a drone it's bloody close to him and you should be able to see a shadow of it in some of the shots, it's not on a stalk off his body or his helmet. I have no idea how they do that but it does impress me.

Graham asks the same question every time as well. On one shot, we saw a stalk coming up from the handlebar with what looks like a small eyeball camera on top. On the next shot, it's not there. I recon they take multiple films and chop out the bits where the bar mounted camera is really visible.

I think it's a Gopro 360° or similar. They use fancy software to automatically remove the mounting stalk from the shots. He overuses his new toy, far too much spinning around. ☹️
