Well took the Honda out for a spin, it went great however I did not, I have recently been diagnosed with Carpal tunnel syndrome by a physio and have been woken up at night with pains in my hands, pins and needles and a burning sensation in my hands.
I thought nothing of it but after about a mile on the bike my throttle hand was really painful so much so that I had to return home, after the physios referal I got in touch with my doctors who have managed to find me an appoinment for June so hopefully I can get something sorted.

Cheers

Dennis

If you have the op, its only a 20 min day surgery thing but you won't be riding this summer, I guarentee it. I had mine done on the left hand anout 4 years ago and it was really sore for about 6 months and definitely couldnt ride with it, I could barely get a glove on. No swelling, just sore to the bone!
If you're going to have it done, and I strongly advise you do, get it done in september if you can, then you have all winter to recover. I made the mistake of going fishing when recovering from mine and managed to catch my bandage on fire when lighting the gaz stove in my bivvy. Instinctivly, I slapped it out with my right hand................nearly pased out it was so painful. My pal nearly wet himself laughing! I would have had it been him mind, it's the law :D

On a brighter note, do get it done though, the difference is incredible. ;) :)

For those living within reach of Bristol, it's Fowler's open night

The 1st Friday of the month is their Bikers night,

Yes I went for a ride today, got home, and totally forgot about Fowler's night,

John, my heads like a seive at the minute, If youre going to go, remind me with abit of notice and I'll scoot over, I was there this arvo picking some bits out and is only about 25mins from my house in the Chew Valley. Be good to meet you and ahve a bre.

Ken, some ace bikes there, not keen on the Kwacks but never was but the rest are awesome,. Loving the mint two strokes there and the Kettle etc. That RS250 peeking out from behind that mars bar 350 looks really fit. Nice Jap spec TZR250 too, utter minter! As for the Lav's, sheer dribbleworthy the pair of them. What ace looking machines they are and the frame on the spondon is to die for. Cheers mate.

It wasn’t my first choice but a puncture to my Triumph meant I rode just shy of 200 miles on the K7 today, of which 140 miles were with Mrs C as a pillion and she didn’t miss a beat (the bike, not my wife!)

It also drew plenty of attention from gentlemen of a certain age on our stops. I didn’t get any pictures unfortunately but this was just before I put her back in the garage after the days efforts. I love this bike.

Rode over the mountains yesterday to the Albanian border. Highest point we rode over was 1624m, which I think is the highest we've ever gone on a Kymco 125 😂😂😂. Fantastic views and we could see Corfu in the distance. If anyone gets the chance to ride along Lake Scutari, or Lake Skadar as its also known, do it, it's great. Loads of organised motorbike tours here, we've seen riders from most of the European countries. All have panniers the size of a small cottages and are all dressed up in their full bike gear, sweating their nuts off and there's myself and Trig in shorts and T shirts 😁😁😁😁. Great fun.

Na, I think I'll stick with the bike gear when abroad, dont care how hot it is. You'll never catch me wearing shorts and a t shirt on any form of motorcycle, utter lunacy in my book, dont care how long the pilot has been  riding bikes. Sadly the phrase "It wont happen to me, I'm dead careful" means nothing. Besides, that's why Gortex is so good fpr bike kit, you dont sweat in it and is perfect for riding abroad offering max protection and keeping you cool.

Just got back from a few days in the Sporades Islands (Athens turn right).
More bikes than cars, vast majority twist and go 125s.
2 Harleys, a GS, one sport bike of some sort and Rocket 3 lumbering about.
80% of locals don't wear helmets or any safety gear at all.
Loads of bike hire for tourists 75% of whom do wear helmets but no other safety gear.
Saw a mum with two young kids on the back hanging on, 8-12 ish years olds.
Best luggage carrying 125 scooter was a bloke who turned up at a cafe with 2 full 13kg gas bottles between his legs, then left with 4 empties!

I've seen a family of 7 on a Honda C50 in Turkey, wife on the middle of the seat, small boy aged about 7 doing the steering and throttle stood up on the pegs, little girl sat in front of mom, mom holding a small kid in her arms, 2 more small kids behind mom and best of all Dad sat on the rack backwards and holding a wheel barrow with all the shopping in. Wish I'd had my phone handy.
Kids in a the back seat cause accidents.
