It's being built in Sussex by Retrotec - who are well known for vintage aircraft restoration. Sign-up up for the projects newsletter, at the link above, it's always a good read.

John, Factory tour looks interesting - was it a generally open day?
No,

They don't do public tours,

Only members of aircraft supporters?,is that the correct term?

We are all members of
The Peoples Mosquito, so we paid, and got in,
Also lots of other stuff there, engines, aircraft waiting to be done, or finished

Very enjoyable

My twopennyworth (for what its worth) is that I used to work in the Factory where De Havilland Mosquitos were built during WWII......Downsview Canadian Forces Base, Toronto, Canada. I worked on the Twin Otter Aircraft.......building the RH Wings in the late 70's. Happy daze.

I went to work one Saturday morning at Downsview and there were dozens of Military Chevrolet Blazers and Triumph Motocycles lined up ready to be sold at Auction......none had ever been used but were considered 'obsolete' so they were cleared out of storage and sold.

Best recollection of my time there was a DH Buffalo landing one day and stopping within a few metres ! I think it was a 'Test Flight' to impress potential Customers. It certainly impressed me !
Now: 2008 CB1300S, CB750K4, 1970 Bonneville. Various other 1960's 650 Triumph T120's/ TR6's/ TR6C's (all in bits...many, many bits unfortunately). Previous: 2007 CB600FA, 1976 CB500 Four. BMW F800ST. GS750E. ZZR1100. CB1300 (2). ZXR1200S. VFR800. CB750 Nighthawk. CX500. XS500 Yam. Suzuki GT500. BSA A10. Various Lambrettas. Zundapp Bella (honest).

I attended the Ludgershall Bike Night near Brill, Bucks last night on the CB250RSA. There must have been 2000 bikes there with food, ice cream vans, beer tents, bands etc, a great night.
There was one outsatnding machine there,  a Honda endurance bike. It had RSC parts on it (cam, clutch and points covers). I don't know if was original or a replica, if it was a replica it was amazing :o.
The real star of the show was the dog in the BMW outfit, when he left the dog knew everybody was looking at him, very cool 8)

That Honda is EPIC!
That’s got some right goodies on it, I wouldn’t know if it was legit or not but I hope it is, somebody will be along to certify it soon hopefully.

Dog’s ace as well, what a legend

DOHC CB900 probably.

Running stock carb bodies? An absolute arse to tune. Would have expected smoothbores?

Well pretty though.
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Looks like a replica from some of the details, but you're right Dave, a very very good build with significant attention to detail and nice to see.

As far as I  can tell, the wheels are road production wheels dressed up, the originals being likely highly exotic in very specific aluminium construction vs steel spokes on early road bikes. Also, swing arrm is production stock and not race designed. Ignition cover sticking through fairing is a give away too, slimmed and inside the cover on race.

There's also two generations of "RCB" as they are referred to. The first is a CB 750 bottom end with special barrels and narrow angle 16v twin cam head, pure factory development of 750 architecture and ultra exotic  in being able to replicate.
The second, like this one, the RCB 1000 which was based on CB900 architecture (early RCB development gave birth to CB 900 twin cam) that's much more linked to the road bike and frame of the 900 series.

Still a very good replica though, i love that whole era of endurance bikes.

It does look fab! ( Just a  pity it isn't a Kawasaki as then it would be very-green....the best endurance colour ever)!!

Love the little sight glass tubes.

The V6 Laverda endurance racer had a similar set up Ken. You can see the sight tube on the left hand side on the seat moulding. Shane it only raced in anger once and was never properly developed especially considering Laverda were going to put it into limited production until they went bust.

Some lovely looking bikes. Very jealous about all these bike meets this time of year. The joys of living in a remote location (wouldn’t swap though). Nice bike Trig, the joys of twin discs, which one is squeaking? 😁
