Decent 500 crankshaft sought.
« on: January 16, 2023, 03:21:40 PM »
I have found this crank on e-bay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352863647557

I'm waiting for a more detailed description as to it's condition from the seller who I have used before.

Even if the crank is in good condition I suspect it will be devoid of any web markings / codes to help with shell sizing.

Any members here have a crank they want to part with?

Ted,
It certainly looks better than your original and most of us have dealt with DK at some time, seems to always charge the same amount for postage though regardless of weight, size or value but it's reasonable I suppose for a crank and rods.  He wanted the same postage for a points plate!

Good old DK's. You can buy off them with confidence as they will take it back and refund you if your not happy with it. It will cost you two way postage though, and you wont be sending it back for £7.95p. Besides that, your probably too late as Oddjob will have snatched it by now. ;D

Roy,
Is the postage to you from DK £7.95 then?  It shows up as £39.99 for everything from DK.  Yes, I realise we're a long way away and on an Island but I'll be more savvy in future.  I had a set of 15" MX-5 alloys (no tyres) collected from Hull by EVRI (Hermes as was) for £9.80 per wheel with insurance.  I realise DK will have to charge for packing but I wonder if they will allow courier collections?

Hey, no need for that.

I have 2 spare cranks as it happens but it's postage which will kill it or I'd have offered one.

Most cranks that i have bought from DK have been spot on with good reusable shells. A few have arrived bent by the courier throwing them about but, DK replaced them straight away   ;)

That must take some mis-handling to bend a crank!
