I like the idea/theory  of that type of seat - with my badly designed torso/leg length ratio the best riding  position would probably be me sat on the middle hump!

What you need Ted is a single spike. Two spikes would be an indulgence…..

When I started getting bikes from DK six years ago that would have been £1199 with no reserve.

Yep, around £1500 today. At the price and following a full restoration I think the total turn out cost would be about £6500 to £7000.

You pays your money…..

The trouble with the bike is that it needs so many unobtainable parts, new seat, tanks got a huge crease in it, who knows what’s wrong with the engine, the list goes on.

My stash is slowly but surely becoming smaller, sure I have a NOS seat, stacks of engine parts but sometimes it’s the smaller stuff that stops a build, until some manufacturer decides to retool and make some more parts the ability to restore these bikes will become harder and harder and more and more expensive by the year.

Kids in a the back seat cause accidents.

I second that, its been all the little stuff that make other stuff work thats stalled me so much. That and cost a small fortune!

That one's a 50 feet bike isnt it, you getcloser than 50 feet towards it abd it starts tio show its issues after looking not bad with a squint.
