Idiot console bulb holder rubbers
« on: January 24, 2023, 04:57:02 PM »
Hi,My import 750 K5 idiot console bulb holders used to have a rubber seal around them to fit into missing console.
After many years in the sun and sand they have perished and have the brittle remains of one left.
Has any fellow member found a solution to this problem?
Thanks

Replace the sub harness with a new one  ;) It is a standard problem with bikes from the states, all the rubbers will be past there best including all the engine seals and o'rings.

Thanks for reply.
I have never seen a new one advertised in my searches except for the £70 repro.

You will not find Honda pilot light loom, they must of run out 20+ years ago so, the only option is aftermarket from people like Yamiya  ;)

It would be good if Peter Horton could make up sets. If not, I was quite happy with the Z1 USA one. (I think it was in a batch of items I brought back on a trip a few years ago) I could have slid the slightly short sleeve a bit nearer the bulb end and added tape to the connector end but it still looks pretty good.
