I can get pictures from manual if needed, but not near it now.
Front cable on handlebar is the pull cable and goes to the carbs on the side that needs pulling obviously (resting position, try the mechanism to see which part is needed to open throttle) to get that route established.
Usually the threads/lengths etc differ from push and pull cables to try and prevent wrong fitting on these bikes too.
Fit the pull and check it opens etc, then fit the other one.
Warning detail, Honda's specification for cable slack is about 15 degrees rotation at the twist grip, that's important as it prevents conflict in the two cables when you turn the steering fully left or right. If you go much less it can pull the nipple off the cable!
