Hello from Seamus in Ireland.
I got my 1979 CB550f in the UK about nineteen years ago in anticipation of the eventual mid-life crisis. I paid £302 for it, winning bid on eBay. Spent many times that since on TLC and it’s definitely my favourite bike. I’ve been on the US site for a while and only became aware of this one today.  I also have a few other small Hondas from that time as well. Lovely machines all.

Glad to be here - It’s great to link up with like minded folks. Thanks for making me feel welcome.  Hopefully I’ll contribute something useful at some point. For now I’ll figure how to post a few pics of my pride and joy.
Need to pare down the file size to get them to attach so maybe mightn’t happen tonight.

Welcome Seamus to our community of little helpers there is a wealth of experience and characters here with a united aim to keep our bikes running as Mr Honda intended all those decades ago.

Our motto could be summarised commercially  as "Moneypits-R-Us"

Oh yes I know…. £302 is what the bike cost in 2004. I paid more than that for the downpipes….  Not to mention most of a complete bike that i’ve bought in bits and pieces over the years, wheels, forks, bearings … it goes on. But what beautiful machines. I think they are the best looking bike that Honda ever made.  Julie you sold me the oil pressure switch back in 2020
