The new woman in my life.
« on: January 28, 2023, 10:42:24 PM »
I heard the words I never wanted uttering yesterday.
Wendy said something using the following words arranged wrongly.

" You think more of me than that bike" is what she meant I'm pretty sure.🤔🤔🤔
Honda CB500 K1 (new pit dug out ready)
Honda CB400 four super sport (first money pit)

Made my wife swear at me the other week, we were getting into the fact I spent so much time on the bike etc and I said "You're starting to sound like Ex Mrs Pimlott" and she looked at me funny and said " You haven't been married before" I just looked at her till the penny dropped and then she swore at me, I asked he when she'd been in the Navy and learnt all those nasty words, then she swore an awful lot more.

The bonus side of having another half that also rides bikes. Nothing is ever said when I say I am just going in the garage or I'm off for a ride.

Wow 58 years that's impressive - even if I add the 7 years for my first marriage that's something to be proud of.

So what bike have you owned for 44 years??

Before I met Wendy she did try to ride a Triumph Tina from her parents house that had a very steep uphill drive to the house.

One setting off down the driveway she overshot the road going straight  into the hedge of the neighbour opposite - her Dad declared her unfit to ride - funny part is she did not realise the seat operated the clutch!

Hi Ted,
It started of as a blue 400/4, but got the race tuned Yohimura treatment in the mid eighties, I am not an "original" condition, original nut and bolt man, their is a photo in the gallery.

Even after 58 years, I still think like oddjob, would make the same choice  again, and she has no interest in bikes, and no knowledge on hobby costs, thanks very much.
