The special stepped bolts and rubber cushion washers for my CB250K's UK front guards are NLA so I am making the bolts from 12mm AF mild steel bar. Luckily they were zinc plated and not chromed on this model, so I can plate them myself. 12mm mild steel hex bar was a bit tricky to find though and had to buy 3 metres but really handy for making Honda fasteners. The part was originally a JDM part and very expensive when CMS last had stock, ages ago (none available now)The rubber 'cushions' are NLA too ...they are actually a CB450K1 part and only used on the European/JDM/ Canada CB250K's, UK CB350K4 that had the deeply valenced mudguards. I decided to mould these myself using 70 Shore 'A' black polyurethane (PU) and I got a mould 3-D printed at work. I think they turned out great for a first attempt.Mine are missing Ash, so I'd be interested in 2 if they fit the 350k0 pleaseThe next thing I am going to have a bash at are the rubber seals between the air filter and the balance tube, which is part of the battery box. These are often lost or knackered and hard to find now. (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link)
I don't think your mudguard used those washers Phil or do you mean the air filter ones?Rubber stay cushion washer fits these modelsFITS MODELSCB250 GENERAL EXPORTCB250 JAPANCB250K0 AUSTRALIACB250K0 BELGIUMCB250K0 ENGLANDCB250K0 FRANCECB250K0 GENERAL EXPORTCB250K0 GERMANYCB250K3CB250K3 GENERAL EXPORTCB250K4 ENGLANDCB250K4 FRANCECB250K4 GERMANYCB350 GENERAL EXPORTCB350 JAPANCB350K0 SUPER SPORT AUSTRALIACB350K0 SUPER SPORT BELGIUMCB350K0 SUPER SPORT ENGLANDCB350K0 SUPER SPORT FRANCECB350K0 SUPER SPORT GENERAL EXPORTCB350K0 SUPER SPORT GERMANYCB350K3CB350K3 SUPER SPORT GENERAL EXPORTCB350K4 ENGLANDCB350K4 FRANCECB350K4 GERMANYCB350P GENERAL EXPORTCB350P JAPANCB350P0 GENERAL EXPORTCB350P4 POLICE TYPE GENERAL EXPORT / KPH MPHCB450CB450K1 1968 USACB450K1 U.S.ACB450K2 1969 USA

Fascinating!!Where do you get your PU rubber stuff from? I have been contemplating trying something similar for an unrelated application making tyres for an RC tank project .... I can make the 3d printed mould quite easily. I assume the compound just gets poured into the lower mould, and the top clamped down, with some vent holes to let the excess out, and to pressurise the mould to get any air bubbles out. Would potentially also allow me to 3D print the wheels first...put hte wheels in the mould, and cast tyres around them to 'key' them in. I tried making footrest rubbers once in a plaster mould. The stuff I had to mould with was horrid, and the results fit only for the bin. Never thought to 3D print a mould. Obvious when someone else does it......
Look great. The 3d printing is no problem, but presumably I need a vac pump and maybe also a pressure vessel.
