Delkivic sound is great it's quite rorty but not excessive & a perfect fit it even came with a stand stop sounds  nearly as good as my Kerker . Only been for a few miles test ride but all seems OK at the moment 👌

I might have to go for the Dekelvic as its SS plus a big saving on the very nice 4 pipe original system.

Got me confused here Dave, I can see parts off a 500K but not a 550K. The bike looks to be a CB550F as it's got a 550F swinging arm on it, which Ted comes with a chrome guard as standard and they can be fitted to the 500 swinging arm as well if you drill an extra hole.

The tank looks 500 as it has a twin outlet petrol tap and a proper petrol cap unlike the 550 which has a flap with the cap underneath. The rest looks 550 although I'm not sure about how the seat fits as it slopes so much up at the back I'm wondering if it will rock when you sit on it.

Why not use the indicator mounts on the ears Dave instead of using headlight mounts? (are those my old ears? they cleaned up well if so) No grab rail? the 500 rear indicator mounts would have suited the bike better and would have saved you drilling the frame.

The forks will flex without the mudguard brace as well Dave, maybe fit one of those fork braces which clamp onto the part where the seals fit?

Bikes nice though, like the colour.

My apologies Ken the tank is from a k but not sure if 500 or 550 , the seat is a K too. The rest is an F model . The seat does not rock at all as I fitted some extra seat rubbers where the rear fender bolts across the frame , took a bit of fettling but fits great , as to the indicators I wanted to keep the originals but couldn't get small enough stemswith that thread size that would fit on the front . Didn't want grab rail as the F one I have didn't fit right with the seat . I never thought about the forks flexing I may have to source a bracket or a short mudguard.   :)

550K tank is the same style as the 550F Dave, cap under flap. The 500 is the one with the nut ripper, as you slide across the tank after a bump it very nicely stops you having any more kids.

The 500 rear indicator mounts are sort of triangular in shape and are rubber mounted so they'd be better for the rear indicators Dave as the vibrations may just shake the elements until they break. I did have a pair I'd just had powder coated you could have had, unfortunately the powder coaters lost one. Look like this

If you replace those rear mounts let me know as I'd be interested in them.

The forks twist more than flex Dave, as the front brake is applied the fork will try and twist round with it, the brace is there to stop that.

Something like this would most likely do the job and look nice as well.

I do have some 550F front stems if you're interested, they are standard length but NOS, not cheap I'm afraid though as they are rare as hens teeth.

Hi Ken , I had a 75 candy jade green 550 and it had the same tank as this one , I always thought it was a K1 , didn't the K3 have the same cap under flap as the 550F?

We didn't get the 550K1 or K2 Dave, only the K3. So I don't count those as available for parts, there may be a few around now though but not that many and they are all imports.
