You need one with long nose, something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32816981461.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.289.bc061802yRTd4B
You will indeed require those long, narrow 90° ones with tiny tips in there...

https://www.amazon.de/BGS-Sprengringzange-Grad-abgewinkelt-449/dp/B001ILG50E/ref=sr_1_17?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=K40V3H33UWXG&keywords=sprengringzange%2Bmotorrad%2Bbgs&qid=1681111884&sprefix=sprengringzange%2Bmotorrad%2Bbgs%2Caps%2C141&sr=8-17&th=1

But those cheap ones might fail/break quickly if there is a lot of corrosion in play (likely when considering the age of those motorcycles...)

I placed an old handlebar tube in the bench-vice, secured the MC on it, soaked all with some ATF/Acetone mix, used a long Philips/JIS screwdriver to loosen the piston first, then held it down while grappling the circlip in there...
Broke one pair of pliers in the process (the clip was rusted into the groove), got it with my spare one...

OEM Honda pliers (07914-SA5-0001) seem way more durable, but pretty expensive...

Well I have the circlip plies  supplied with the very early, original Honda factory tool kit. It says 07914323000 p/N in the K0-K7 Shop Manual..... but I suspect there was an earlier part number.

Those pliers were probably the dogs b*llocks when the bikes were fairly new or on a newish M/cyl but I have had little success removing the circlips from really old and crusty M/cyls with them. The way I get them out it to 'winkle' them out with a thin and  angled pick. After all the new repair kit comes with a replacement circlip anyway, so if you distort the old one getting it out with a pick then there isn't a problem.

I had to file down an old pair of long nosed pliers, worked well.
