Should be fine even on centre stand, but side will tip it away from the opening.

Virtually all the oil should be in the tank on 750, with just residual in the sump.  That's assuming the check valves etc working OK.

Use a drip tray as you'll get a little come out if it's been run recently, but nothing much usually.

Thanks for the answer only just put new oil in and the clutch still not working properly the gears clunk when changing gear so want to check plates and don’t want to waste the oil

Expect you have checked, but could be the adjustment at the clutch end? 1/4 to 1/2 out with a loosened off clutch cable (both ends).

What 750K clutch ? I think the K6 has a double plate and 6 or 7 different clutches fitted to 750K's.

Does your VIN number start with 21*****? I'm trying to pin down exactly what model it is to try and work out what clutch it may have in it. Is it a USA model or a UK model?

Have you considered doing the clutch basket mod? involves drilling more holes to allow more oil to reach the plates.

I think you'll find the later 750's are already drilled as standard, I'm 99% certain the K6's are but unsure of where through the era of K2's (in the UK model range) they started doing that from the factory. I'll have to ask Graham.

One other thing, if you're adjusting the clutch as per manual, the manual is wrong. It says turn the adjuster in and then in another ¼-½ in, that's incorrect. It's turn it out by that much.
