Points cable clips (cramper!)
« on: May 15, 2023, 10:22:27 AM »
I'm missing the cable clips for my points cable. Anyone got the pair (to sell) that go on the engine OR an outline of them so I can fabricate a couple?
I think the parts used to be: 32117-371-000 & 32112-333-000

The one near to the points cover is different but this is the one further up. I haven't got a picture of the other  :'(

Try looking at 32111323000
They have a plastic coating to protect cable.
Should be available from any Honda dealer but about £4 each

Matt I just cut some from some galv sheet, prepped and painted them and bobbed a bit of shrink tube over the top to protect the wire. Cost pence and you can’t tell the difference unless you were looking out for it…..

Roo, that is what I was thinking of. However, you know me and the stainless sheet will be coming out!!  ;)
Just realised that there maybe the clips on the engine from Tim, will look a bit later.....

That’s a good shout…..I’m sure there’ll be some to poach off that…..

I didn’t have any stainless and only galv guttering that I cut up

Works a treat

No there like a flat tang which the bolt goes through and then you bend to suit over the cable.

I'm making some out of a sheet of stainless steel, cut to shape, round the ends off after punching the 6mm hole through then using some glue lined shrink wrap tubing to line the steel. I made one the other day for a fuel pipe clip on a bank of carbs, turned out rather well considering it was a first attempt.
