That makes two of us Ash!
This one is on eBay and it looks to be in very good condition for a restoration although apparently it does have low compression. It even has the toolbox, rare on these.
I can see it eventually going for big bucks looking at the bidding so far.

To be honest I owned one in the mid 1970's  (EYP 605C) and never really hankered after owning one since. It seemed rather dated in styling even then, although the engine was  a big improvement design-wise over the CB72/77 and CB92/C92 design. The 160 engine  design  basically went on to be used in the CB175/CD175 etc. Personally I much prefer my CB175K5 over a CB160

I only want one because it was my first bike so it would be a nostalga purchase. I can't remember the registration (it was a 1966 model) but I bought it in December 1978 just before my 17th Birthday. I paid £225 for it as it had been 'restored' it had, but using all the old parts as I found out not long after buying it! I had a very steep learning curve when it came to rebuilding engines after that one! According to a road test I read at the time they could do 85mph, hmmm......... ::)
I'm with you on the CB175, that was the bike I really wanted but I couldn't afford one. The blue one with the 'shark fin' (as I called them) side panels was the one for me. I had a CB200 as my third bike, unburstable engine in those.

Basically the same thing Dave. My mate always wanted a CB160 but had to make do with a C110 50cc 'Sports'. Your learning curve on engine rebuild sounds about the same saga as my 1st CB250K2 (HDT 2J). He's seen the DK one but drew the same conclusion as you. It doesn't seem to have  the correct seat ... well at least cover. I remember a horrid thing with loads of springs underneath and a bit of 'tinpate' wrapped around the back.
