Rear wheel hub fitting
« on: July 07, 2023, 06:14:27 PM »
Just sorting out bits and pieces for my next project and "dry fitted" the rear hub using the parts that came with the bike (500ko).
It all goes in ok and looks centred but leaves no room for the chain adjusters, can any body spot what might be wrong. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Take out the left hand spacer and show a pic of it Gary, looks too long to me.

I gather you've had the hub apart?

Hub was apart when I got it. I think your right about the left hand spacer.
I pratted about all afternoon with it and as soon as I put the pictures up it looks like the l/h spacer is 5-6mm to big.
If it was that much shorter the adjusters should go in and the hub will go left 3mm, which it looks like it should.

The right side spacer should be 45mm and the left looks like it is too long but, that maybe down to you don't have a chain guard on. If it is the correct size maybe the swinging arm is a tad out Gary  ;)
