What you getting rid for Dave, thought you'd just fettled it to keep it? The design on paper/computer fr this must have been a right thing, there is literally no spare room for anything, even wiring for the power commander abd charging tails for the optimate  are a squeeze. I agree completely about the best bike Honda made, there's a reason for that and its simply the build quality. Inside mine is still mint, just the outside that needs the tlc but thats only through neglect due it it not needing any nannying

Bobbed an old set of plugs in for the wash and some paper filled, 'jonny glove fingers' into the spark plug tunnels before the wash but yes Bryan, ever so delicately coaxed in by hand for me! ;D

Mr Khan The Dictator may be doing it for me Roo. Taking it for it's ULEZ compliance test tomorrow. £175 for a known fail. The guy who's doing it thinks he might be able to tune it to comply and then it's another £75 retest fee. Khan has a licence to print money!
Good luck with the cleaning, don't forget to buy a new toothbrush as yours will be worn out!

Stage one of a monster degrease complete, just a bit of fettling and faffing and she’s going back in.
ULZ is a monster crock, that kills me people being forced off their transport due to  shite legislation. If it helps at all, I’m utterly livid on your behalf! Pretty soon we’ll be expected to pay to sodding walk about. And god forbid if you drop one whilst bending down, they’ll charge for that n all!
Wankers!

Wow, you could eat your dinner off that Roo (although Ken wouldn't!). Wash the face flannel in a packet of OMO before you use it in the bath later on :o

I know Ken, it’s killing me not taking it to bits and painting it but nows not the time. It’s 85% better but still cleaning sprocket covers and chains and all the greasy stuff but hoping to have it in before the weekend!

There’s so little paint in it now the TFR colours the ally dark. BUT at least it’s clean-er

As predicted, that was a bit of a bugger! Fitted it a bit unconventionally by jacking the back up and with the motor on timbers and a concrete block, slowly lower the rear over the engine.
That was the easy bit, getting the bolts and spacers to line up was the hold up. If it was on a trolley Jack you’d have more control but I don’t have one and like a challenge.  With a bit of a wiggle I got it but very awkward.

Loads to route,
connect and faff with yet but chuffed on the progress front and a milestone out of the way

Oh, I dunno, you can get at least TWO Rizzla papers down around the rear head

Can I also add that no knuckles were scuffed in the fitting of this lump. Only upon walking away when they were dragging on the floor., but that’s normal

Thought I’d beat Ken to it

Well done. Nice lateral thinking to lower the frame onto the engine. Despite making it an absolute b@std to work with slim frame Viffer is still a little portly, like me trying to get into my dinner suit from 10 years ago!
