CD175 with tasteful mods - I like it
« on: July 18, 2023, 03:31:20 PM »
Had a CD175 back in the day, not the prettiest thing in my mind. Had a CB175 front mudguard and piper 2:1. Still ugly but an improvement.

Saw this on eBay below with various mods from CB200. Really a CB175 with CD tinware I spose? I think it looks nice as a bike that would probably do well today as a "retro" styled affair. All IMO etc...

One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

The bike in that link is very tidy even though it is not all original - will make a nice bike for someone.

Same owner for the last 50 odd years - just needs the clatter sorting as sound on videos is very clattery.

No mention of mileage that I can see - 14,600 in the speedo picture.

What's with the tape on the throttle grip?

I really like it.
Not one for the purists, but I like it.

Not a clue what is going on with the tape, as the throttle wasn't moving as it should when he tried to open it. Just bizarre.

I don't see any tape on the the grip and it looks a very similar pattern to the one on my CD175 which is original.

You can only see the tape when you watch the video. Seems like they've taped the throttle closed for some reason.

   Now I see it.  ;)
