Turn the center stand stop around  ;)

I can't :( Because of the way its designed, it can only go on one way.

This is the same centerstand rubber stop I got with mine. Also the bag for the bracket has the same text (see pictures). But on their website it says that this should fit a CB550F2. Can we agree that a F2 model is not called something with K? Because in that case I feel like I have a pretty good case when I talk to Delkevic.

Also, on the american forum, I found this bike. Obviously this is a 750, but this seems more like the kind of bracket I need. It's reaching backward, therefore allowing the muffler to be attached way more forward on the bike.

750s and CB550F didn't share same frame, did they?

I have been toying with the idea of fitting the Dekelvic system to my 500 to save money - this is putting me off somewhat - I might have to raid the imaginary gold reserves and fit the original 4 pipe system - a decision possibly for a new fiscal year.

Delkevic  code for the CB550F is COM320B
Delkevic code for the CB550K is HDR000B

CB500 four is the same frame as CB550 K0, K1, K2
CB550F1 frame is the same as a CB550 F2
CB550K3 is different and stands on its own.

Looks as you may of order the wrong one ? What Delkevic part number do you have ? And is the frame stamped with CB550F or CB550K ?

Ugh, I ordered mine from the US website, where they only have one link and a text that tells the customer this will fit them all (here: https://delkevic.com/full-system-to-fit-cb500-four-1971-1973-cb550-1974-1975-cb550k-1975-1978-cb550f-1975-1977-with-classic-straight-universal-muffler-and-stainless-steel-4-1-downpipes/).

I see now on the UK site that you can select specifically a C550F model and get the part number you are referring to :(

Hopefully the pipes, head and muffler are the exact same, and it is only the bracket that differs!

Ted, the Dekelvic fits just fine if the correct one is ordered and delivered. The one on my F2 almost fitted itself. Having said that, if you have a 500, I’d be tempted to swallow the additional cost of a replica 4 pipe system as it looks and sounds much nicer on the 500. I was even tempted to fit one to the 550, but it just seemed too radical and I live in hope of finding an original or copy 4:1.

Don't be too discouraged Ted. On the .co.uk website, you can choose specifically which model the exhaust is for, and I think this makes sure that you get the correct parts. You can't do that on the US website (where I ordered mine), and in the headline it just says that this fits all of the models, which it obviously doesn't. The exhaust in itself is very well made and looks and sounds really nice!

I have always ordered the one for the bike i am fitting it to. The strange thing with the Delkevic site, is if you put in CB500 Four if comes up with part number COM3299 but, HDR000B should be the same fitting for that style of pipes.
I have never measured up different frames to see if there is any difference on the foot peg location. I know Motad used to fit all but, the silencer on the Motad had a big slide adjuster on the silencer to position the bracket .

You will have to email Delkevic, send some pictures of your problem to find the answer

Mmh, I am getting HDR000B for the CB550F, but HDR000A for the CB550K. I wonder what the difference is between those two parts.

I will call them and try and get some answers.

I know style & fashion change over the years - I can still remember seeing the four pipe systems on the old Hondas when they were new thinking they looked really dated/old fashioned somehow being so bulbous - not to mention the great asymetric 4 into1 look.

Now 50 years later here I am seriously thinking  the 4 pipe look is what  I want!
The eye of the beholder eh.😎😎😎
