Tyres : How does she do it.

At the start of the summer i had to replace a front tyre on Julie's CB550 but, the rear tyre has loads of meat on it. When out for a ride today and she was on her CB500 Four. As i was putting the bikes away, i noticed the front tyre on her CB500 was looking worn out. Took a measurement of the tread and she has got it down to 1.3mm in 3000 miles and , the rear has a ton of tread left on it. This must be down to her riding style 

I had a look at some of my bikes and my CB750K6 that i have done 6000 miles since fitting a new pair of tyres

Cant fathom that one out at all Trigg, but can’t help thinking that she has got a better front brake than I have on my 550! 🤣🤣

LOAD the front tyre  dive hard into the corner, point and squirt.
Even with my front brake, I still do 2 rear to on front

That's what I was thinking Julie. Shot yourself in the foot there Trig. I can just see the High Res Slow Motion of Julie ripping across the Wolds. Standing it on it's nose with the rear wheel in the air. All on a single pot brake too.

Haha, yes, that's about right Tim. I must be special being able to scrub out front tyres in less than 3,000 miles 😂😂😂😂

There, 2 lovely new tyres, 1 for Kitty the 500, and 1 for Millie the 550. Graham says I need to make them last until  Christmas at least 🙄🙄🙄🙄. If I had my way, they wouldn't even get fitted until next summer as I have 0.3mm good tread left on the current ones 😂😂😂

Back in 1974 my new Commando came fitted with a front Avon SM, it only lasted about 3 months before fitting Roadrunners.
 Now using Roadriders.
