400 primary drive cush rubber
« on: August 07, 2023, 10:01:48 AM »
Does one apply any grease (maybe assembly lube?) to these to assist fitment or just a good dollop of oil?

I did mine dry but used a cable tie to keep them in place - then when only the cable tie was stopping it going all the way removed it - worked a treat.

Thanks chaps - should have the cases back together this afternoon then I will have a bit of free bench space!!
I must admit that I spent hours trying to get the gears to work. Lined up and installed in neutral with selectors in correct position but could not actually find neutral. No matter what I did, no joy - until I realised the 41T gear on the countershaft was the wrong way round - then all was happy! Hey Ho....

I'm paranoid about taking gear shafts to pieces I photograph the item as I remove the parts then do a written description. 🥱🥱🥱

Then I forget when taking off the kick start as it looks so straight forward. 👎👎👎
