That Monster Drink is termed White Can in our house it contains 150mg of Caffeine per can.

I also like a pint or two of IPA not forgetting my bedtime Schnaps in my Pewter Goblet.😎😎😎

I developed a taste for one of the  local malt whisky’s Highland Park and was quite partial to an evening tipple. But found increasingly that alcohol was having an adverse affect on my ability to have a descent sleep. So it’s a glass of wine now for an evening drink which doesn’t seem to have the same adverse affect.

I never feel or felt fear before going out for a ride on my bike....and I'm certainly no hero ! It's the same in the car..........

Cos I'm an old timer and have always ridden bikes since I was 16 (in 1966) I often get parents who tell me that they won't allow their Kids to ride a motorbike 'as it's just too dangerous', but I always answer them that by the time newbies have been through their bike training nowadays, they are probably as safe as they can be. As far as my concerns about me riding a bike, I honestly think that if I have an accident, then it will probably be my own fault...partly or wholly. I'm sure that attitude keeps me better prepared for riding safely.....especially when I commuted daily from Dorking to Canary Wharf on my bike.

Funnily enough back in my TA days, when we were parked up waiting to start on a Regimental or Battery move (which was often for an hour or more), I was in and out of the Land Rover every 5 minutes for a pee ! I couldn't sit still......and once we were moving I was fine......I have never figured that one out......fear, anticipation, adrenaline or what !

As a result of an interesting conversation with my brother I'm reducing my Caffeine intake by switching to less Coffee & more Tea plus cutting back on Monster Energy cans. It might help.🤔
Do what I do and blend decaf with regular. Or buy cheapest, it is full of chicory!

Yep, that made me laugh. Everytime before I go out for a ride I always go for a pee. Within 20 minutes of being out I want to go again! I think it's a fear of not being able to find a toilet!!

Went out today on the 400 by the time I had all my gear on all was calm - had a short 20 mile run out.

Uneventful aside from the usual hip lock as my 400 is too small for me.

Even as a teenager I would always feel a slight surge of Adrenaline rush as I prepared to go out on my bike - it would always subside within a few yards of riding off - only returning if I rode too fast or had a rear wheel skid.
Not so much, but I was always seriously looking forward to a ride...
Which has faded noticeable, won't care about any short morning/afternoon hops anymore... way too much effort with gearing up, etc...  :o
A one, two, three weeks tour makes more sense... still quite a task with planing, prepping, packing, etc... but once I'm finally on the road I'm into it...  8)

Good point about gearing up taking time & effort. When I was a Tech College student my daily commute was around 10 miles each way. Gearing up consisted of a helmet & Anorak in the summer, no boots or gloves needed. Visor was essential as there were so many insects back then that unlike today.

I took advantage of the warm weather this week going out for a couple of 40 mile runs out. On my run up to Leek yesterday I was fine no Adrenaline issues just a relaxed enjoyable ride out.

When riding on two wheels you certainly notice the poor road surfaces. The road out to Bottom Houses is littered with those ribbed concrete strips to make you slow down on bends.
